Growth and Scope
We are continuing to develop our team especially that there are qualifications which are not yet in the National Occupation Standard(NOS) or the quality credit framework (QCF), that people still need for further education or personal development. For this reason you may find unaccredited programmes still offered here, but they also go through our rigorous internal quality assurance and self regulatory frame work(SRF) system, through the council of assessors as described above in the Assessment Team Section.
The assessment team consists of the board of assessors, called the academic council, led by a chair person who is also an internal verifier or lead Internal Quality Assurance(IQA) person. All internal verifiers of the council are monitored by the team of independent External Quality Assurance(EQA) from external exam boards which accredit some of our programmes directly or through partnership providers. We also work with independent External Quality Assurance(EQA) personnel who help in the Internal Quality Assurance(IQA) processes for awarding internal qualifications which we design, and also help to prepare for EQA visits from exam boards.
All our assessment team members are qualified assessors, who hold either of the following certificate A1, A2, D32/33/34, or Awards in Assessing Vocational Achievement or the equivalent qualifications. For new assessors, they work towards a qualification in assessing learning. Trainee assessors on a final award of any of our qualifications are supervised and countersigned by a qualified assessor.
